Abstract

This book will provide advanced decision support methods and solutions for sustainable transportation and smart logistics that are applicable on different planning levels in organizations. Thus, the main contributions which this volume is aimed to present are the following:

  • New models to help make decisions in green logistics and sustainable transportation.
  • New procedures to estimate most of the transportation externalities, mainly environmental impact.

The book will try to better describe problems in the sustainable transportation arena and provide apposite models which solve them. Formulation and resolution of logistic problems in sustainable transportation is nowadays a challenging task which it is necessary to face providing the suitable algorithms which can shed light to their resolution. That is the main characteristic of the proposed book.
